Are women and gender-diverse-led and primarily based in Canada, as well as the US

Are seeking early-stage funding (Pre-seed to Series A)

Have evidence of commercialization (eg. Team and customer traction)
4.
Have an innovative, technology-enabled offering or business model
5.
Are led by coachable entrepreneurs with a relentless drive to succeed
6.
Offer high growth potential (10x or more) with environmental/social impact, must have the ability to scale at a material level
7.
Demonstrate commitment to integrating environmental, social, governance, and diversity and inclusion performance
The51 seeks to build positive, long-term relationships with our portfolio companies. We aren’t in it for a quick exit. As such, we look for coachable leadership teams that demonstrate a commitment to collaboration and transparency. We're sector agnostic, but seek to invest in companies where we can bring relevant expertise to the table. We aren’t passive investors.
